Ive been testing this offer for about 3 weeks now busting my ass split testing and trying to get this offer to work through this one ad network that seemed to be perfect.

Little did i know i was basically getting fucked over. This whole time i was basically bidding against there internal team. I would bid higher and higher and these 2 or 3 guys i thought who were legit rivals would increase their bids every day and I was already having a hard time profiting at a low bid, but seeing these guys bid so high kept me working because these guys had to be making money to bid that high right?

turns out I was bidding against the networks own landing pages so no matter how much i bid I was always gonna get outbid because the network was running its own shit.

Anyone else think thats fucked up? Here i am paying to get my ads on their network and they bump bids and basically take 100% of the views unless i bid higher.

Im pretty pissed at all the time and money i wasted maybe i should do a charge back on my credit card. I should of done more background research on the pages i was going up against but I was too busy building and testing shit to care.

Fucking ass wipes.

Is this normal? Also i wont name the network yet because im still wondering if this offer is still worth chasing someplace else.

yeah, almost all smaller networks do that *cough* ppv networks *cough*, it's fucked up and it's frustrating...

I could see it, I've also seeing them first hand disapprove a long running successful campaign for no reason then run it themselves.

How do you know it's the network's LP?

i did a simple who is check on the top 3 supposed rivals of mine and they all were off the same dns server, register, etc etc everything matched up to the main site they didn't even try and hide it.

im new to this part of the industry so this might be the norm in the adult industry but the network is

trafficjunky

seemed to be recommended by everyone for adult traffic and by my AM's. Either way fuck em they can go to hell now.

also now that i look back on it this is probably one of the shadiest networks out there from the get go. They make you pay via paypal. Obviously to cover there asses from charge backs.

I could have swore he was talking PPV at first though.

Im seeing a lot of affiliate networks and ad networks doing this to affiliates more then before ( its always been done, but more heavily now ).

Think about it, them Berries brought a huge flux of cash to the affiliate networks and ad networks and now a lot of it is gone and everyone is trying to get more then the next person when it comes to revenue.

Affiliate networks get more CPA then you so they start running more internally to make up the difference in revenue and can now outbid you as well and a lot of them know your LP, P202 domain and traffic sources. Same with ad networks on their own system, they dont even have to pay for their own traffic and make pure profit now while jacking your shit and they know your LP and most of your KW's/URL's/Placements.

As long as you depend on someone else's offer and someone else's traffic, there is a risk you gonna get loved tenderly. I ain't saying it cant be profitable for you buying traffic and running offers thru network, cause I know it is.. Im just saying you got a risk bro and that risk is a bit higher now that a lot of people is struggling and networks closing up shop, etc.

This is pretty much the status quo and how it works if you're mainly focused on buying traffic and sending it off and hoping for the best.

That's to be expected when running with brokered traffic I know a few people that work at several CPV and Media Buy companies that do this all day making 6 figures a month off affiliates blood sweat and tears. It can be a dark and shady industry, if you think that is bad get a few of your affiliate managers drunk and found out the shit they do. Blow your mind on how much people "borrow". Every Company has someone working for them stealing information its unavoidable when the numbers get big. You cant trust any CPA or Traffic source bottomline. They want your money and they will take it if they have to just part of the game. Cut out the middle men as best you can and you might have a fighting chance.
