Fuck this I'm switching banks

I can't believe this shit. I get my adsense cheque today (I know, I know, I really should switch to wire transfers) and I head over to the bank to cash it. I get to the business services teller and I don't recognize her, she must be new. I give her my cheque and ask her to deposit it into my account, she then looks at the cheque and gives me a really funny look, like shes never seen that much money before :D

She then tells me she is going to have to show the cheque to her manager because she has never heard of google before and it sounds like a made up name. I was like wtf :eek: :eek: :eek:

The manager came over and smoothed things over with me but I don't think I've ever been that insulted, I'm giving them mid $xx,xxx of my money to hold on to and she pretty much comes out and tells me she thinks I'm some kind of scam artist. I need a new bank, or better yet, switch to wire transfers.

Sorry just had to vent.
 


Never heard of Google before? WTF...Better solution get out of Nova Scotia and move to California, where everyone knows who Google is.

But yeah, wire transfer is the way to go.

I had the same problem. So I just moved my life savings to a Nigerian Bank. Boy, are they friendly. The only problem I is that they require me to send my deposits via FedEx Overnight Express mail. That's a small price to pay to get such friendly service. Do you want me to PM you their address? :D

I would have laughed in her face. The only one who was insulted was the teller. Seriously, though being a bank teller is a really low-level job, somewhere around running a McDonalds drive through.

What bank was it? I'd bet anything it's CIBC.

I've had horrible experiences with them in the past and my checks were definitely nothing to get worked up about.
