Ever since seo died, WF has been slowly bleeding out. All the top tier posters are gone. You have wack jobs like me still glomming around. Yes we have a few old timers waiting for Seo to be reincarnated, but we know the truth.

I realize you're most certainly wondering where this 'conspiracy' nut is going (if you didn't click off yet) with this. Here's the crux of it. Over the last few months my desperation for 'lulz' have taken me to exotic places such as facebook, reddit, twitter, lifehacker, blah blah blah. I have learned to use tools like feedly and audible.

The point is after 20 years of wasting time on the internet, I have really learned how to waste even more time. I never used to let anything distract my constant clicking of f5 on WF. But these 'new' tools are fucking insane. I mean jesus christ these places really suck you in. On wickedfire you know there is always someone smarter (almost everyone) in the room. But these places. Omg. But the real value is the information tucked deep inside these sites is stupid addictive.

That's it /rant

not much here anymore. I just come back to read the grunnin thread. lol.

I spend most of my time playing captain on a deep sea vessel anymore though. Will return when the next boom hits as always.

That's why I always come back to WF. I go through reading comments other places and get sucked in. Then I'm jolted back to reality when I realize how stupid all of the posters are.

That's what makes Wickedfire great: "there is always someone smarter in the room"

Have you found anywhere with the same level of both lulz and intellect?

Nope there's nothing like it. I've been getting sucked into reddit, but it's got this really pretentious vibe to it. I've been spending the past couple months working on self improvement. Taking my eating and excersise much more serious. And also made a daily commitment to improving my coding skills, as well as some creative expression(writting, and art). And I have found some great communities to help me out. But even those have that fake pretentiousness. Maybe it's me. Maybe WF has jaded me.

There is nothing I would love more than healthy vibrant WF

SEO jocks are nearly bottom tier when it comes to the Internet marketing food chain. They're the kind of players that are one Big G animal update away from having to find a 9-5 job.

There's stuff other there that is much more profitable and stable than SEO. Think outside the box. Learn some real skills too like project management, programming, web design, etc.

People aren't posting on WF much because they've formed their own IM groups offsite that are far more discreet than some public forum; but WF can still have nuggets of gold in it, as well as some extremely entertaining threads like the Grunin thread.

Like OP who is learning how to code, I'm also learning some new skills. Although my bread and butter is launching and running e-commerce offers, I'm also learning how to use Unity and code in C#.

I agree man, most legendary poster's are long gone and moving on too other projects or their own private groups or forums.

The game ain't the same no more.

Yes seo is dead no money here.

Fish + veggie stir fry diet, dude. Lots of broccoli. Works wonders for your mind, energy level, and productivity. :)

That not very far off from what I've been doing. Add some cheese, eggs, coconut oil to your list and watch the fat melt away. I have had so much clarity since I've killed the carbs. It's almost like being high.

Broccoli is bomb, love it, eat it all the time. I would add, going to the gym, working out, it feels good, also drink shit loads of tea, with detox etc.

I like my join date and post count on here. But haven't touched my site in nearly a whole year and my rankings are identical/better. No seo = win. ;-)

This couldn't be more untrue. Bottom tier? Really? You got Web Designers slinging $300-500 websites and when you break it down it ends up making them $12 an hour. You may as well go work at Walmart. Building websites is nothing but one big fucking headache (trust me, I used to run my own web design firm).

Other things that are more profitable? Huh? Have you ever really made money with SEO? Cause the things you are saying make me believe that you most likely never have. Trust me, the guys that have been doing this awhile and know the game are making bank. Sure it has it's ups and downs, but you'll have the same in almost any business online.

Somebody's jimmies are rustled.

I build and run my own offers. I think that's much more stable and profitable than JUST doing SEO. I can rely on multiple sources of traffic rather than praying that my sites don't get de-indexed by Google.

Of course SEO plays a role in my business (especially for brand management of my offers), but I can also run large Adwords campaigns, do media buys, email campaigns, etc. I have eggs in multiple baskets, and when the next big G animal comes along I barely notice it.

I'm glad that there are SEO guys making huge bank. But you're being too narrow minded if you're JUST focusing on SEO.

Not everyone here doing design is a $5 logo kiddie from fiverr. There are quite a few making decent money at this.

Like Hyper6 for example. In fact I'm seeing his company's banner on WF right now. He makes bank and has several employees. His company did design work for one of my sites in the past, but now I mainly have the design work done inhouse.

Hyper6's design work does convert well, even before I did a round of split tests. Highly recommended.
