My only concern is that the 8000 pages indexed in Google are no longer linked to from the homepage, which will result in their eventual de-indexing and could decrease the PR of the overall site in time. Just to explain, the indexed pages ARE linked to from the homepage.

The link is below the blog name. They will not get deindexed.
