$333.33/day is my goal!
Ok, here is the start of my site:
www.myconstructionguide.com

I downloaded FeedWordPress and installed it. The documentation that it gives is bloated and hard to follow. I would like to know how I can grab external RSS feeds from other websites and have them update on my site (in the content area). With the pinging, as well as any other understanding I can grasp I will put this site to good use and learn from it..

TIA

If you installed and activated the plugin, you should have a new section under links called "Sydnicated". Add feed URL's there.

Thanks Dan! I installed WP Autoblog and it is MUCH easier to use than FeedWordPress. I believe with the template I picked out it doesn't show categories created by the RSS feed on the right side navigation. For whatever reason they are all under "Uncategorized" --- Do I need to find an RSS feed with labeled categories to fix that? I also tried making the posts "full feeds" in WP Autoblog Options but it shows about two lines of text and then "..."

Maybe I just have a crappy RSS feed. I tried a couple, and damn there's a lot of spam on this site now! Hopefully I can get to the point where I understand what type of RSS I should be using for my niche sites and how to place it properly on my sites. If you have any tips/suggestions please feel free, I am all ears:bigear:

If you add a feed to feedpress and it doesn't turn out well it's not your fault but the software's. It's kinda picky on feeds.

You're much better of with RSSGM, wich searches and adds feeds for you before you know what the hell is going on.
You just serve it a list of keywords and the feeds connect automagically

Are they RSS feeds though, or pure content generation? I tried RSSGM v1.4 but could not get it to work... ohh but now that I'm a member of syndk8.net I will see what they have to offer.
you can choose to set it to generate stuff, generate stuff based on articles you put in, and you can set it to scrape wikipedia or some shit, but by default it only does the RSS ripping thing.
