Hi,

I'm a 14-year-old boy from Finland. You may like me or you may not.

I'm trying to make a list of the best ways to get linked---and I need your help---because I'm pretty sure you know some stuff that isn't here. So please, give a little, don't just walk away thinking you're all that.

Thank you, thank you...

In the past, people used to say this to themselves:

- create myspace profile post link on your myspace blog
- obviously article submission see imwishlist.com for free software
- directory submission - see imwishlist.com for free software
- blogs that do not use nofollow tag (install SearchStatus | Firefox SEO Toolbar Extension mozilla firefox extension to know if they are using nofollow or not)
- forum signitures (search google.com for forums and Forum Equalizer | Forum Submission Software)
- submit press releases - prweb.com or Press Release Software | Press Equalizer (cheaper)
- install autolinkspro.com on your site, to do link exchanges, and people submit their website for link exchange... plus then join linkmarket.net, linkmetro.com, and similar sites to do link exchanges. (I do not request, just wait for requests)

- probably a ton more ways.

Plus hire people to do it if it sounds a lot to do - scriptlance.com to hire or getafreelancer.com

kyrre,

No follow is a way of blocking search engine
robots from following a link.

It's done to preserve pagerank because every
link leaving a page with the "do follow" attribute
bleeds some of its pagerank to the site it's links to.

Hope that makes sense.

If you want more information, I'd suggest you go here:

Nofollow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Back to your original question ...

Another great way to get links.

Create linkable content - things like
top 10 lists, 101 ways, etc that others
will naturally want to share with their
audiences.

A specific type of linkable content would
be a free tool, script, theme, etc.

Once again, people will naturally link to
it because it's valuable, but you can also
take things one step further by including
a back link in the tool itself.

Releasing a Wordpress theme with a link back
to your site in the footer is a great way
to do this.
