I want to get my own credit card processing going for a membership site that charges a recurring fee of say $29.95 per month.

This sounds so simple but so far it was quite some headache for me.
What is a common way to do this?

As far as I know there are tons of complications like fraud, chargebacks, or getting my money blocked when using 3rd party processors, etc..
Ofc it would be cool if some 3rd party service could do all the work for me and I just keep it down to putting a CC-form on my website and connecting it to some API (yep that would be nice).
However then it can ruin my campaign if I have to pay high % fees and potentially getting my money blocked for months when there is some complaint (heard horror stories about authorize.net).

How does some standard dating site do it for example? or some adult site that charges it's members in a similar fashion.
Every idiot has this CC-form on his site, seems it's just me who has trouble to get it.

in return, tits..

P.S., if this should play a role, I expect to make around 4 figures/day in revenue from this so I need a appropriate solution for about this kind of amounts.

You looking for something simple or something more complicated with less fees? Paypal offers some pretty simple stuff, just use the subscribe function to repeat charge.

You could also check out Authorize.net (shop around for resellers - you can save a ton) and verisign. Note though that Authorize may be more of a target for hackers such as when they were down for a week because of a DDoS attack (They are a big gateway).

I second paypal, I've been using them for the last 10 years, they added additional payment processing options. They should have something that fits your needs
