GoDaddy is saying .Co is the new .Com...

If you cant step back, to realize, GoDaddy leads this industry enough to know they have a strong voice in the marketing community, you are mistaken. I'm not choosing sides here, but I think if you cant stand back to see where this could possibly go, with a strong of a voice as GoDaddy backing it, who knows. GoDaddy is the leader, where people lead, people follow.

Yeah, just like the lead the way to the great success of .mobi.

GoDaddy has no financial incentive to sell you more domains. The reason for that commercial was because they have your best interests in mind.

Fortune 500s everywhere are abandoning their .coms in favor of .co.

Yeah, this isnt something to just say "go away" to. I dont think the commercial should just be shrugged away. If they put this commercial up, with tens of millions of people watching it, there is going to be a load of buzz. The end result could very well lead to google making .co's stronger in search engines. Not stronger then .com's, but this will definitely lead to controversy, which leads to more buzz.

Could you let me know if you followed the launch of any other TLDs? If so, can you please compare and contrast those with .co in this thread?

What are you asking me if i'm serious about. The world is changing, and in a career choice, like Internet Marketing, you cannot predict the future. No one as big as GoDaddy has been there to support the upbringing of a TLD before. In a changing environment, new challenges will arise. We cant live in the same age forever.

Remember when bing came out saying they were going to be better then google. When bing failed, they had to rebrand themselves as "The Decision Engine." This could be like that. .co, could find a calling, just like .org and .net have.

how much is GoDaddy paying you to post here?

GoDaddy just paid millions to get their ad on tv for millions, i doubt they're gonna get me to come on a forum with a couple hundred viewers a day. (dont wish to hear anything about targeting, and how ineffective tv ads can be.)
