Godaddy SLOW: Alternatives?

I like the fact that godaddy seems to be reliable and cheap. But I've noticed the site can be slow at times. What are some alternative shared hosts that you guys like?

If you want guaranteed speed, then you'll have to step up to a VPS then. Shared is hit or miss.

I use namecheap.com for domain name. A bit cheaper than GoDaddy, very reliable and have free WHOISGuard (for the time being).
For me that is cool enough.
I have my own server for hosting.

GoDaddy suck. I use Moniker, fast (and actually pretty good) support people and reliable service. The opposite to Godaddy.

Anyone considering Godaddy check out NoDaddy.com, provides good info. I gave them two chances, in the end I lost 6 domains and cash I'd spent in Godaddy auction. Cunts.

I have been using 1 and 1 since then. I never tried any other so I really can't say. But 1 and 1 is fast.
