Ok, this is really dumb. But for the love of God I can cannot figure out how to remove a Google analytics account. I'm just trying to clean things up. I understand how to remove "profiles" within accounts .. but cannot delete any of the accounts that i see when i log in. Pain in the butt. Any help is appreciated..

Log in > and when you get to the screen displaying all the domains or sites that you are running analytics on... you should see 5 columns.

Inside one of them, the word "Delete" is. Just press that.

yeah, that's a "profile". I can delete profiles.. what I want to do is delete "accounts" . Look in the upper right hand corner at the select box where it says "my analytics accounts" .. you can have several --- how do you delete THOSE ?

imho you can't. you would have to write to their support to get it deleted. i never came across an option to delete the account.

does this help: Google Accounts Help - How can I delete my Google Account?

altho i thought i found option to delete only analytics account

Nooooo.. that doesn't help :) It does get a little confusing ... I don't want to delete my entire Google account. Instead, WITHIN Google analytics I want to delete an "account" that contains profiles .. I've sent Google a message, but of course they haven't responded :P

Seems like such a simple thing .. why would they never let you delete analytics accounts ?
