Google Bizopps Last Warning

We were notified on certain bizopp offers that the advertiser was in contact with the FTC and was asked to make changes to the offer accordingly. Personally, I find this a plus for the advertiser in terms of being educated at the very hands of those who could have easily just shut them down.

From a legal perspective, complying with such "notifications" is effectively an admission of guilt...circumstantial, perhaps, but convincing to a jury - absolutely. Fodder for a lawyer with 1/3 of a brain...it's the old "why run if you're not guilty" logic.

I dont know, but I damn sure aint going to sit around and waste my time talking about shit that aint even happened.
Yeah I wouldn't be sitting around talking either, knowing the hammer is about to come smashing down on me. I'd be silently relocating to a country without extradition. Join me in St. Petersburg for a drink, won't you? ;)

Yes and no. What are your options really? Say "Piss Off!" and blow your second chance with them? I don't see the FTC wasting time coming to you and asking for changes only to attack later and say "Aha! You admitted guilt by making that change" - they don't need that.

Like Tattaglia said to Tom Hagen in Godfather 1, "Relax, Tom. If I wanted you dead, you'd be dead already." (something along those lines, a true GF expert can chime in)

So now you have a mix of creative people and ones who dont care doing the exact same thing. It doesnt stop, it evolves.

Agreed. The current form of the flog (aka, the "I lost eleventy-bajillion pounds in 7.2 minutes with acai") will persist among those who simply copy. Even, and if, the FTC decides to intervene on a large scale, the flog will have evolved.

Unfortunately, when it evolves, everybody will catch on...again, and the cycle repeats itself.

It really depends...obviously if you know you're doing something shady (or facilitating it, in the case of the CPA networks in question) you can't really flat-out ignore FTC notifications...but barring a court order, you don't need to bend over and comply. You do have the option to can stand your ground and at least give the slight impression that "to the best of your knowledge" you are not blatantly profiting from illegal activities.

Depending on how they want to build up their case, the FTC now knows who caves under pressure and who is willing to put up a fight. It's a safe bet that most of the "cavers" are going to be getting subpoenas if they were involved...I mean, if I were going to build a case against multiple parties I'd be looking for the path of least resistance too.

Why was there so much activity on this post and then now nothing for more than a week. What's the latest on this front? I run some bizopps and spoke with my AM's about this and they said to keep up with what I'm doing because its working...

You guys need to be realistic. Google can not sue 11ty billion broke ass douchebags who are using their name in promoting a product that actually uses their services. It's just not profitable. How much would each suit cost? How much money would they get out of each suit? Not enough to even begin to pay their lawyers.

They want to stop the bizops, that is all. Lawsuits aren't profitable. They will take out a few big name companies, maybe, and people will mostly stop making the offer available. That's it.

That said, if your are running the same scam as every other retard on the internet you've got bigger problems than lawsuits from google.

You dumb motherfucker! Are you fucking serious?

First, a lot of affiliate marketers aren't broke ass douchebags like yourself.

Second, Google isn't in this for a profit, they're in it because we're hurting their brand name and that cannot be measured in dollars.

Third, I vote +ban for this idiot.

you are so full of fail.

Can't having enough legal-verbal bullet proof ToS shit and the like at the bottom of a lander protect you from the vast majority of shit, save for clearly posting a fake newspaper article about a fake person? I honestly have no idea so I'm just asking.

Possibly the dumbest thing I have EVER seen on these forums.

The sad part is, you were actually trying to sound smart.

Now can someone please ban this douchebag?
