google deindexes my index page frequently...?

i am ranking at top 10 for 4 - 5 keywords in google since last 6 months... but now i am facing a problem that google often deindex my index page while some of the other in inner pages are indexed...i submit the sitemap again and then the index page is again indexed... can anyone tell me why its happening?

moreover i have submitted 27pages in the sitemap while only 20pages are indexed..

your suggestions in this regard are highly appreciated...

Hmmm... not sure about the disappearing index page, that is weird. But just because you submitted 27 urls doesn't mean they will all get indexed right away. Depends on content/uniqueness and if google considers any of them to be similar enough to another page in your site to be considered a low quality page which may not get indexed for a while.

build more links to get them crawling deeper into your site. Also, pulling out your index page is common when they're adjusting your rankings
