Correct me if Im wrong. If I want my article to appear way up in the Googles, I need to write my artice around the wanted keywords.

So if Im writing about cat hotels, I should be using "cat hotels" phrase much as possible in the article...right?

Or if the competition on the cat hotels phrase is too high, something similar with lower comp. but similar search volume (hotels for cats or something like that)

Am I rhgt on this and where does the SERPIq come into this story?
 


Use Technorati's blog directory to get a list of the most popular authority blogs in your niche. Use Compete.Com to get the traffic estimates of those blogs, so you can prune down that list and zone in on heavily trafficked authority blogs in your niche. Then:

Go to those heavily trafficked authority blogs in your niche. Study the most recent and most popular post headlines/titles, topics/sub topics, categories/sub categories and tags/keywords of those recent and popular posts. List down your keyword ideas. Then:

Use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool to get exact match keywords. Enter your keyword ideas, select exact match type and your target territory/country. Next:

Generate attention-grabbing headlines/titles for your articles or posts. Do this by going to Magazine.Com. Select a category and a sub category that's closely related to your niche and exact match keywords. Dig deeper and select issues of hot magazines. List down the headlines used for the cover stories and other sections of those magazines. Revise those headlines, integrate your exact match keywords and develop post/article headline/title and topic/sub topic ideas. Or, in case there aren't any hot magazines closely related to your niche and exact match keywords:

Go to Amazon.Com. Select a category or a sub category that's closely related to your niche and target exact match keywords. Study the table of contents of books with a lot of positive buyer reviews. List down table of content items you find that are closely related to your niche and target exact match keywords. Revise those table of content items, integrate your exact match keywords and develop post/article headline/title and topic/sub topic ideas...

Try to mention your target exact match keywords, one target keyword per article/post, in the title, preferably in the leftmost section of the title. Mention it again, once in the first sentence of the first paragraph, once in the last sentence of the last paragraph, once as a sub header before the last paragraph and once anywhere between the first and last paragraphs. Then, mention two to three LSI keywords once anywhere in the post/article. This has been working for us and our clients since 2005 as an effective keyword placement strategy. However, DO NOT compensate keyword placement for headline/title effectiveness and content readability for the target readers -- This is WAAAY more important than those search engine robots. This is also why the strategy I mentioned above for generating headline/title and topic/sub topic ideas has been effectively working for us and our clients since 2005...

ya you are right. by targeting low competitive keywords, you can find more hits for your site
