Google Keywords Tool - One Retard Question

My keyword went down from 44000 to 72. The day I bought the exact match for it was a nice sunny day and then BANG! All my noob dreams have been destroyed.

Still the difference of ten of thousands in search valume is a bit shocking.

Is this a fairly competitive niche? Or a niche with a lot of action that Google has been grumpy with? I noticed a massive drop when going from the old to new KW tool, and I'm in a niche that Google kind of hates right now.

If I had a conspiracy hat on, I'd think they were artificially deflating the figures for terms that are related to problem-niches for them, and thereby disinterest potential affiliates in those niches.

I don't see any reason Google would hate this niche for, but you never know with Google I suppose. That figures I had in my head only (those 44000 seraches) and never wrote them down. But after I bought a domain and return to Google Keyword to find some long tail keywords to expand on the main keyword I new something is wrong. Luckly I had written down keywords in few other niches and proven myself that there is a massive drop in serach valume displayed on Keyword Tool.

For some of them from 8000 exact to 600, some from 10000 to 720 and so forth.

What you will consider as a problematic niche for Google?

If the massive changes will be related to adult, medical or gamble then I will be less suprised but my niches are all family friendly niches for good Christians
