Im sure most of you noticed that Google unveiled it's live search or rather, latest search within the serps just recently. What I have noticed is that the serps pages are getting more and more cluttered, however, this live stream does catch the eye...Perhaps it is time to start gaming this feature.
While the latest stream/live stream hasn't been fully integrated into every search term, it does show up quite often. There are some privacy issues that Google will probably have to face pretty soon, since some twitter users may not want their tweets being displayed to the public in that fashion. Time will tell.

The live results are generally based on broad keywords, I have not found too many results for very nichey phrases, since the results are being pulled in from twitter. However, keep an eye on this area.

The good news is that the datafeed coming into google has nothing to do with your amount of followers, in regards to who sees your tweet. It is all based on #tags and keywords. Trending topics, as seen in the side bar, are given more real-estate in the serps. Check out those topics on twitter and then type in those keywords to view the live results.

Take a look at this new type of result and see what you can do with it. My mind is already ticking.

Just something to think about.

I was much more worried about this than I am right now. The general publics view seems to be rather neutral to not liking it and real time results are only, like you said, for broad terms.

Like for "scam" but not "clickbank scam" etc

Whether they will expand it or not will probably rely on how much the public responds to it. I have a feeling they'll keep it as is.
