Google's Response Finally.

try explaining to a regular person why google does some evil shit, its harder than explaining what you do for a living. So, generally speaking, our opinion is in the extreme minority.

^^^ Yessir. Funny thing is, we're the same people that were trying to explain to everyone why Google was so great 10 years ago, but they just wanted more AOL disks.

Google is the Wal-Mart of the Internet.

Fuck Google. Its the only company you can drop $2m a year into and not even get someone to tell you how you can continue to spend millions a year with them.

GOOGLE, YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS GIANT DONKEY BALLS!

Even when they do decide to take your millions you spend with them they probably just burn it for their own amusment like this guy:

Makes as much sense as anything else they do!

The BEST thing they could do would be get mozilla to carry it as the default search & make it hard (like they do with bing currently) to use Google.

Yahoo search results SUCK , Bing results are pretty decent, I still like Google more, but I'm doing my best not to utilize them unless i'm doing research.

Best thing they could do ,and yes it would be underhanded would lock in Bing to IE8 and now allow changing it other than making google the home page.................MS needs to fight Google, and once they start taking market share, the investors (who are the REAL ones that hold power at google) will start screaming from the rooftops that they've screwed up.

I'm curious as to where their q2-q3 profits will be.

1. Are you allowed to advertise a product anymore? Sure doesn't seem like it. If you are trying to sell Blackberry phones, and have images, text, specifications and a buy this product button, that doesn't even cut it. I've tried adding customer reviews, video, links to other popular blackberry sites, everything i can think of to "Increase the quality of the user experience", and they still shut it down after 3 weeks. I know the rules about 'Landing Pages', but I'm going to provide a link to a site. We're trying to figure this shit out right?
Welcome to our Wireless World

I've created pages and sites that look exactly like this and they all get slapped. So what makes this one any different. It it because they're a huge site that spends millions of dollars with Google? Who knows really.
So you're basically saying your ecommerce site gets slapped?
This is really fucked up. Google is hurting small businesses and doesn't give a fuck.
Ever tried adding Google checkout? And what about Froogle (I think it's now called Google Product Search), have you added your products there?

I hate Google too for slapping my content rich review pages with great user experience :D
But what you're telling is even more frustrating, I can feel you!

My wife just signed up for Adwords, so we'll see how her account fares. Maybe I'm just on permaslap like others have said...cause I haven't been able to get a campaign to run for more than 3 weeks lately. We'll see.

Like others have said it's not affiliates it's smaller businesses google has a problem with.

Not to give my life story but I started in ecommerce completely legit bricks and morter didn't even have an affiliate program.

We had a base feed which kept getting declined because google in their god like wisdom said we were drop shipping - we weren't.

The c**ntish thing is they list ebay which is actually worse than a drop shipper and can afford to pay for traffic - we really could of done with the free traffic but were denied :(

Googlebase t & c -

Affiliates - Posting is not permitted for the promotion of affiliate sites, products sold through a commission-based relationship, or sites that sell through cataloged third-party drop-shipping programs. This includes item pages that are made up primarily of advertisements, or pages where advertisements obstruct the view of the item.

holy shit

as if drop shipping should have any fucking impact on advertising on Google

I'm sure they don't just single out small businesses though, I'm sure the same policy is applied to big corps like Ebay and Amazon... Oh wait......

New response.

Thank you for editing your landing page to comply with our guidelines. If
you've made changes to improve the relevance and quality of your ad text
and landing pages, you can monitor your Quality Score details to see how
these changes have affected your account. As a guide, you should see
higher Quality Score details if you've significantly improved the quality
of your landing page.

We're unable to guarantee a timeline or any improvement to your Quality
Scores should you make any changes to your landing pages. AdWords
retrieves and evaluates advertiser landing pages on a regular basis, but
it may take weeks or months for the system to re-evaluate your pages.

If you don't see higher Quality Score details after making changes to your
pages, you should evaluate our guidelines and verify that your changes are
meaningful and substantial. Minimal or superficial landing page changes
are very unlikely to result in strong Quality Score improvements or lower
overall costs.

Also, please be aware that some websites may always experience lower
Quality Scores due to the nature of the site's content. In these cases,
such sites may be unable to further improve their existing Quality Scores.

I checked today and the ads are not running again. Seems they appreciate me letting them fuck me in the ass, but still may or may not let my ads run again. We will see in "weeks to months" from now. LOL

"but it may take weeks or months for the system to re-evaluate your pages."

ok, that's totally fucked-up bullshit... i haven't yet started to invest in ppc and therefore i'm not using adwords atm, but that's a real turn-off for using their service :|

might as well skip adwords and try bing/yahoo..

I haven't been sitting around hoping the Adwords fairy would magically appear and give me a free pass to Googleland where all of my campaigns would be shiny and profitable. I've been using the other networks in addition to Adwords the entire time. I was born at night, just not last night. If you have 10 campaigns running, and you have to rebuild each one every time the slap comes down, as well as, re-create all of the site content on new domains, I don't care how good you are, it's still a time consuming process. I have yet to find a way to automate something like this. As for the CC, phone number, etc. All that's been changed numerous times, so it's hard to say that's part of the problem.

Believe me, I get what your saying. But I'm not the solo voice of bitching about Google's policies. Their hap hazard attitude toward the people who are paying their bills is baffling, that's all.

Maybe it's time to try dumping google entirely and focusing on other networks? I understand you're trying your best to stay as compliant as you can with their moronic terms, but every hour spent towards retooling your sites to please the google cunts is another hour that could have been put into optimizing for a new ad network. Or maybe even get into media buys?

Hopefully with a different last name and IP. If they're the same, google algorithms are smart enough to pick up that they are yours and will add them to your permafucked name.

solid advice

This will probably sound harsh, but you need to step your game up or find other traffic sources like everyone else. Bitching at Google on a gay webmaster forum has helped exactly 0 people.

So you change a domain every time you get slapped, and this is a big deal to you because... ??

Learn how to do things more efficiently. Takes someone like 20 min or less to pop a page onto a new domain. If you suck, and it takes you forever, then outsource or automate.

You're probably getting slapped because your account, IP, phone, CC# or something is permafucked and anything associated with it is permafucked. I really hope I'm not wasting my time, and that you're learning the right lessons from all of this.

And of course, Guck Foogle.
