Yes its true college can be free as long as you have family working for one haha.

Well ok not free but I just scored a ton of brand new right out of the package statistical analisys and marking books for free.

These things are fucking expensive to buy out of the store (Over $100 each).

Plus he has a ton more around economics, management, microsoft office training, ect...

He wanted to sell a few online so if anyone has some interest in some cheap brand new college books let me know.

I'm not using this thread as a buy page but just wanted to say you don't need to spend all that money on schooling when you get the shit for free haha.

Now its time to make a list of all the books he wants to get rid of.

Anyone know of a good place besides eBay that might be good to sell some of these at?

Amazon Marketplace & Half.com are the best choices for selling textbooks.

you can try facebook marketplace if you wanna sell locally. No need to worry about shipping either. People probably don't want to buy books until school starts again though.

Different local colleges also sometimes have their own little marketplaces for books. Other than that I second Amazon.

After reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad my university books became real cheap - I photocopied the books for myself and others, and used the proceeds to sponsor my own photocopies. Cost of books = $0.

Nice I haven't sold anything through Amazon I'll have to try it out, the deal was that he will cut me in for some of the sales since I work online anyway and he can trust that I'll do a good job.

You can try craigslist also for local. Sell to the college kids in the same school that way they use the same books.

Errr.. list of titles?

::emp::

There are lost (Like a car load lots) I'm making up the list this weekend so I'll post it when I get it done, I'll include all the ISBN numbers as well.

For now the two I scored for myself are below and I think there are still a few others of the exact same.

Aequitas: Are these entirely new books, or just revised editions? If they're new, could you please PM me the titles of the marketing ones? A cousin of mine is doing a masters in Bus.Man, and I figure a good reference book might make a nice gift.

Ok they are all brand new not even out of the original packaging yet and they are the teachers editions which isn't any different from the student editions except for the fact that they have teacher notes in them haha.

Here is how the whole thing wen't down for those curious, my uncle works at a local college and during school time the book authors or whoever sends the college the teaching materials also sends each teacher a teaching edition of the book.

All these books have been sent to teachers that are no longer working at the college and what usually happens to them is they get sent back by the college.

However this time around my uncle was like hey I could probably sell these for some money and asked his boss if he could just take them instead of them sending it all back, his boss said go for it but why would you need all those books?

He said well I can sell them online via my nephew and make some extra cash, his boss said shit why didn't I think of that, oh well go ahead I don't care.

So that is how he ended up with a car load of brand new still in the package teachers edition books however I will probably remove them from the package because they still have the names of the teachers they were sent to on them but I can scan some images before doing that for proof that they are still in the packaging.
