AM is not dead. I sign up new people every day to the membership site I promote. Monthly recurring commissions from each member. That's the best way I've found to create a nice residual income. Sweet dude!

What affiliate marketing is over? Hey I never got the memo. Im moving to Jamaica making beeds breading hair and selling coconuts. And of course smoke trees all day

i'm just sayin...

Advertising as a whole will take a hit, but the mix between branding and performance always tends to shift towards perf (read: AM) in these times...

That said, the local Wal-Mart if giving away free iPhones to all new employees....

Hi friends,

Recession no mean people stop spending all money. People just spend less money. If you work hard and smart, you can make as much as before or even more.

Good luck bros and may Vishnu look over all of you.

As for the high bids on financial keywords, lol he's not joking. All I want to know is why companies are willing to pay $25+ per click on car insurance keywords while I'm stuck with $12 payouts on insurance offers :(

They're not paying $25 a click, I can tell you that. The Max Bid might be in that area, but you have to factor in QS, which means their effective CPC is much lower. For a random person to obtain position 1, you're probably talking $20+ but not for the big guys (and don't think that large advertisers are entirely at the whim of algorithms either...)

Just read the post. He does have some points with things getting tougher for certain niches, but I wouldn't say that AM as a whole is headed downwards. If Acai blogs aren't working anymore, it's time to be creative and come up with a new marketing ploy.

Wow some of you people are imbeciles. Link bait? Really? For what purpose exactly? I have no ads on the blog, and I post maybe twice a month usually, and nothing good either. So why exactly would I give a fuck about more people coming to see my worseless posts? You and all of the retards who sit around discussing my blog posts need to get outside more often and quit jerking eachother off all the time.

For everyone else.. I just call it how I see it.

Sometimes I see things differently than others, its my blog and I can say whatever the fuck I want whenever the fuck I want. So deal with it. If ya don't like it, don't fucking read it. No one is forcing you to waste your time on my blog. I'm not trying to pull a nostradamus or anything, just saying what I think is going to happen.

For those of you that can't understand how I can go from banking on a comeback one month to the next doubting a lot, its because this industry changes ALL THE TIME at a pace that is unreal. One day you can be banking it soooo hard, and the next you can be losing cash.

Look at the thing that happened to CX Digital. They were banking soooo hard, one affiliate fucks up and brings the entire network to its knees and suddenly their future is looking grim for a full 24+ hours. But then they go back up and suddenly they are doing even better than they were before. THAT is how fast things in this business change and its one big roller coaster ride. So if you can't see the logic behind that, then you really are a fucking idiot and maybe that bottle of bleach sounds like it would make a refreshing snack afterall.

As much time as I spend lurking around the affiliate industry, I missed this story. Any links or explanations to the details about it?
