Yeah, I know it's probably just me, but a campaign that was making me $500/mo like clockwork has suddenly stopped. And the only thing I've done differently is send MORE traffic to it. About 2-3 times more, and for some reason, my sales just stopped.

I called CJ and asked what might be going on, and they said everything seems right.

Has anyone else's sales been really slowing down at all?
 


You're not going to get any good answers unless you're more specific. What type of offer were you promoting? How are you promoting it? When did it start slowing down? Is it something seasonal? Is there something fad related ?

Some offers are like shooting stars they burn bright for a while and then just die.

It's in the health and wellness niche and has nothing to do with weight loss. It's been making me anywhere from $17-64 every day like clockwork. As of the past week, I have made absolutely nothing from it.

This isn't really a fad product either. There should be no reason why sales would be hotter at one point in the year than another.

This is very strange to me.

can you link to a similar offer from a different merchant? It sounds like tracking issues.

Not as far as I know. I called up CJ, and they said that everything was tracking perfectly. Has this been a similar or recognizable situation for you? Could something be going on which CJ wouldn't be aware of?

Ah, funny, and VERY clever. I come to an affiliate marketing forum looking for a bit of advice from some actual pros, and you turn it around into me whining. God, that one got ME good, sure wasn't expecting that. No, really, completely out of the blue.

And then to make me look even worse, you call me a little bitch. I see what you've done here, and very creative mind you.

Yes, I am a little whiny bitch for looking for some guidance. Dammit! Now I'll have to go and tell my parents they did a lousy job raising me. Thank you Insomniac for your sage wisdom. It won't be forgotten.

my ringtone offers have been pretty shitty past 2 days, although i still broke 100$ a day yesterday i spent like 45$ to get that. Today i spent like 20$ so far only 45$ back, when 3 days ago 20$ got me like 100$+ in conversions...

Actually, I'm not doing search, it's not allowed. I AM using Google Placement targeting however as one of my traffic methods, also Facebook and Adbrite.

Well not to sound like a dick, but I'm a little glad to hear that it might not just be me. Thanks for letting me know. WTF? Anyone else having decreased conversions over the past few days?

I think its the slow January period between jan 15th - tax refund time, almost mid feb, unless you are promoting a dating site, give it some time, it will pick up again!.:bigear:

Most likely a ton of peoples sales are down... at the same time a lot of peoples sales are most likely up, what makes you think your pissy little shit offer which you didn't even mention has a damn thing to do with internet sales on a whole?

You come to an affiliate form asking about a specific offer not run by any members here. Yiou then call CJ directly and ask. Whats the next step dumbshit? Call the fucking advertiser and ask them why the fuck your sales are down, or is that too difficult for you to do?

Well for the markets I am in there has been a slow down the past week, but it's what I would expect for this time of year. The money people had left over from christmas they have now splurged in the January sales and now perhaps they are waiting for their paycheck to replenish the coffers and pay off the credit card. Or, heaven forbid, this is a foretaste of people tightening their belts for the credit crunch or whatever you are calling it in the states.

I am busy getting into other markets.
 
well im not sure what ringtones would have to do with a market since people who sign up don't pay for anything.

Thank you for that. I mean it, thank you. I'm still new in the industry and I'm trying to find out if someone with some experience can shed some light on what is going on, or if someone can suggest looking into something I may be missing. God, how could I have been so stupid!

I'm glad you were able to see right through me for the stupid bastard I am. And yes, I guess that ONE campaign making me 500/mo. means I'm nothing, maybe I should just off myself now so I don't waste anyone's time at CJ. I was just looking for some advice on why this campaign has just STOPPED.

Maybe I should've worded it better by just asking if anyone can think of something that might be going on that would cease my commissions but not show up immediately.

You got me there.
