I am a newbie and am getting overwhelmed by the information on affiliate marketing..looking for a place to start. Joined clickbank but found that most of their products suck. Are there other networks which have better products ? Which products are good for a starting person ? I am also thinking about taking some classes..which one is better ppc coach or ppcclassroom ? Any insight will be appreciated.

While I'm not allowed to out their landing pages here, suffice it to say they suck.
Amit knows how to use DKI(not hard), and Anik knows aweber? (but not very well). As far as I've seen, they don't have much going for them beyond that.

What is DKI?

Whatever you do don't come over to Warrior Forum. See, we all try to sell poorly rewritten ebooks to each other to "help each other" succeed in internet marketing. Stick to WickedFire, learn to use the search function (hint: use post not thread when searching), and add value to the community.

I'm starting to think this place is for me. Everyone love me here if you haven't noticed already.

I would recommend PPC Classroom. Don't know about PPC Coach. Some strategies on the course I had never seen before and worked amazingly well. I also like the fact that they give you some pre-researched offers each month... really cuts down on the time to launch campaigns.
After you get the basics, it's pretty much trial & error, but at least you shorten the learning curve.

You shorten your learning curve by teaching yourself at your own pace and skill level.

The issue isn't what they do/don't do as a part of the class. The issue is that they(amit/anik) don't have any idea what the fuck to do. Or at least that's what the stuff I've seen points to.
If you want to see their mysterious 'tools' and understand JS, this becomes even more clear. Index of /templates/default/module.tools/javascript
A remedial excel user could easily replicate every single tool they have available.

I think the answer to your question involves your level of experience and what type of offers you are interested in running.

PPC Coach is excellent for a beginner looking for the basics on how to select and run cpa offers. The forum members are helpful without all the noise that you have to filter through on a free public forum. They don't use the forum as opening price point offer to try to upsell you on other offers and personal coaching like PPC Classroom does. Plus, Will makes his living running an actual cpa network, not by just marketing the forum and pounding his mailing list with every other kind of junk jv offer that comes along. I found it to be a really good value and learning experience for the money and the tools alone that he provides are worth the monthly fee.

I was very disappointed in my experience with PPC Classroom and Anik and Amit. The forums were rarely moderated and questions weren't answered if you went with the basic offer and not their many upsells. I didn't find the value for the money and they were only interested in one thing - upselling you to other coaching offers. The examples are geared to CJ/Clickbank type offers, so if you didn't like Clickbank, it may not be the best place to start.

Your observations are always spot on. (I still signed up on their email list for research purposes)

The people running PPC Coach have an affiliate network, but they don't push it hard as Tiffany just said. It's among several networks available from a list that they recommend as networks with products you can promote.

One thing I like about PPC Coach is the landing page discussions. They have no rules against it, in fact, people ask for critiques and they're given tips for improvement. It's really the best place for a PPC noob to start.

I have no experience with the Anik and Amit site, and would never promote Clickbank stuff.

I didn't get much out of PPC coach and I cancelled my membership this month. Polls were way too much work / reward for me. Has it been good for you?

I canceled as well because I just wasn't logging in enough to make it worthwhile, but I could see they were discussing a lot of worthwhile things like landing pages and keyword analysis.

The polls put me off as well with the talk of excessive scrubbing, and they're so much trouble to test and fund. People were saying great things about polls, but I remained skeptical.

The only good thing about PPC classroom is that you see Anik Singhal and Amit Mehta have gay buttseckz. xD

On a side note, stay away from those "guru" coaching programs.

FAR AWAY.

Use the money to buy web hosting, domain names, keyword search tools, social bookmarking demon maybe (or onlywire.com)

not that I am an affiliate or promoting either but I have to say PPC Coach is much better than PPC Classroom. I signed up for Coach 2 months ago and I'm still enjoying the forums and lessons.

PPC Classroom I signed up for the Vegas event becuase of the speakers and as a present (I'm graduating college 2 weeks before and a trip to Vegas is nice). I haven't gottent he DVDs yet but the 9 part module was crap - didn't have enough time for anything else. NOT paying the $97 a month for it.
