Black Hat or Link Bait - The Results Are In . . .

All I can say about this is What The Fuck! I was wondering why all his posts lately were either linkbait or promoting the forums. From what I gather he's saying its no longer worth it to talk about black hat seo. Its all about the link love and forum promoting. As a longtime fan of his blog I gotta say this is really fuckin gay. He was a god damn pioneer. Now he's just another lee dodds.


This sucks.
 


Maybe he is linking to the forum more often because alot of the blog readers are members of the forum. I dont see the problem with a guy trying to earn more monies thats what its all about. If you have a fan base you try to extend it like any celebrity does like Lee did and like Jon has done. This forum wouldnt have any members if he wasnt so known from sitepoint and in a little while this forum will have ads. Who cares.
 
Has anyone paid to check out the forums? Maybe he's saving all of the good stuff for that. Maybe not

Some of your posts are even about black hat seo - which was exactly my point. How much link love have you gotten for all those posts? How much money have you made from your blog?

You're typical of a lot of people online: you have potential, you really do, but you can't see the forest through the trees.

Here's the deal on the forums: you won't see tons of posts per day, but many of the ones you do see are very valuable to the right audience. If I didn't own them, I would still join and be a member. I have, to date, made more money from new relationships and business opportunites as a result of the forums than from the monthly subscriptions - which is right now running about $18,500 a month.


And yes, i post black hat seo stuff on the forum. Otherwise, people wouldn't pay. If that makes me a sellout, then I guess I'm a sellout . . .

haha yeah i really am a fan of quadzilla. well used to be. I never commented before or even talked to him but i have definitely been reading his blog since the beginning. He really does have some good shit to say. Its one of those things you can appreciate, its like wow your not actually a douche like all the other bloggers. Then you get used to it and when shit like this happens and they become a faggy forum peddler it really is a bummer. I hate to see it happen so i'm glad i got to say what i had to about it. Its his choice, not mine, so i'm not going to go to war with him about it. Infact I'll just stop it all right here. Keep my bitching to myself.

I sometimes get sappy when i'm drunk and talkin about a heated topic :)
It was like 3 or 4 am and i came downstairs stumbling ass drunk and clicked the wickedfire button. Yeah bad idea, but it could of gone A LOT worse haha :)
