heatmaps vs g-analytics?

I'm confused about this.. how do heatmaps (like crazyegg) differ from Google Analytics' Site Overlay feature?
It basically shows the same information, like clicks and % without using all the visual effects
What am I missing?

The visual heatmap feature actually does make a big difference in terms of understanding your clicks. Plus crazyegg also tracks outgoing clicks.
