You guys are inspiring. I've been reading here a lot. Right now I have a 9-5. And often a 7-7, depending on the day. I do work at client sites plus help manage the company.

I'm 35 and I've been a business owner for 12 years. I make about $300K in a good year right now - and I want out. I have two business partners and getting out will be interesting. Before I do that I want to make sure I have a reliable income stream of at least $500/day.

On the plus side I've got all the business background (and then some) and IT skills to do this without a problem. On the negative side the dollar amount I need is higher than some people will think is realistic. From the people I've talked to

I've been reading/learning about AM for about 3 months now. To start with I put up some blog sites for me to learn organic SEO and I got good at that. REAL good, in my opinion. I got our company to #1 in Google for a competative term (12,000,000 results) and #1, #2, and #4 for some different long tail terms (25,000 results or so - high end IT stuff). My own personal blog also has done quite well.

On top of that I'm writing an information product for small technology business owners. Right now it's at 120 pages and complete original content. And that's without adding fluff (graphics, headers, chapters, etc). I suspect 200 pages will be the final length. I intend to make that a Clickbank product since I am new to all of this and I'd probably screw up the marketing. Then - assuming it does sell somewhat - I'll analyze the affiliates selling it and doing well to learn more.

I'm also looking at CPA stuff, adsense, etc. But right now I am primarily focusing on a review site for a niche I found. That goes live on June 1st.

Anyway - just wanted to say hi and thank you to everyone.

Nice link - I think I made about $7000 today off of just that. It's awesome!

In all sincerity though - did I break a TOS? Or just hazing a new guy? I read all the FAQs, etc, and thought I was being prudent with the post.

Intro Thread ==> http://www.wickedfire.com/newbie-questions/89-introduction.html

Since your first post suggests that you may eventually add value to the community we'll take it easy on you for not using the introduction thread.

Tip #1 - Before you start clicking on links all willy nilly, get

NoScript - JavaScript/Java/Flash blocker for a safer Firefox experience! - what is it? - InformAction

Beware the meatspin. :)

Thanks.

My one huge advantage as an entrepreneur is my willingness to just jump in the middle of things. Unfortunately that also is a weakness.

Since I know I'm unlikely to impress anyone in the short term I'll leave that at that. I'm not interested in impressing anyone anyway - at this point I'm more interested in learning as fast as possible. I have no ego when it comes to making mistakes - at least the first time. Making the same mistake twice tends to irritate me to no end.

Go read this thread and you'll get an idea of what just happened here.

Post #115 was my first post here on WF.

Sincerely,

MT

P.S. I still get shit for the "Sincerely" when I end a post. So I just figure

to those that don't like it.

P.S.S. I blocked the meat spin in my host file once, but the site just wasn't the same so I took the entry out.

Let's assume WF gets 100 noobs a day. Imagine if everyone posted a "Hello" message.

That'd be a lot of dickrolls!
