Help me convince my manager!

I'm trying to convince my company to implement "forums" but my general manager doesn't believe they can make revenue. He's looking for "big ideas".

Where can I find research about specific sites and the revenue they generate with banner advertising - whether CPM, CPC, or Affilliate revenue?

What type of forums? Will the audience be your company's employees, company's clients, or company's product purchasers?

Is the targeted audience internet users? Maybe finding the number of internet users that participate on forums combined with the stats on income that forums provide.

seriously though, how many people do you expect to use your forums? How many people visit your company's website?

Each station has hundreds of thousands of listeners and they could plug the forums during on-air talk throughout the day, every day if they wanted.

I like manson's idea....start your own forum. When you do-advertise it on the radio station and see if you can get an employee discount. haha

Are there niches for forums in either of those show topics? Prove a "need" to your manager.
