I see some posts every once in a while here with people asking for good proxies, but here's a solution to that, and you never have to worry about if your proxy shits on you and dies.
Tor: anonymity online with https://torbutton.torproject.org/dev/ (firefox only)
TOR (The Onion Router) lets you use fast proxies, change proxies instantly, and is encrypted along the way. The TOR button ads an on/off switch to firefox for it, to make it easier. There's a better description of how it works on TOR's site, but it's pretty great.
