I am supposed to be on vacation right now, but clearly I'm not. Anyway, I am not going to be posting much here for this week, and I plan on going down to either Miami or Aruba for the entire next week to be away from the internet and all work so I can really just sit back and relax and just recharge my batteries like a normal person should.
What I'm going to be doing this week is very important for WickedFire and everything I do as for projects on the side. I am writing up a business plan and plan of attack for WF, the direction we are going and changes that have been made, including new ones to come.
I am going to be selling part of WickedFire off to a friend who's company we have been in talks with about a large merger. This doesn't mean that WF is going into someone else's hands, just means we want to really develop the talent and plans here.
I, just like you, am tired of promises and goals. I want a change. I want to alleviate a lot of the tension and goals here that I have to deal with on day to day responsibilities to people who will actually deliver. I want to transform WickedFire into the place that I had originally hoped and dreamed it to someday become. By merging it with another, more structured company, I think we'll finally have the right direction, along with the resources we need to build this place up and into the media powerhouse that it has the sheer talent to become!
By merging I don't make any money off of it either. Neither does Brandon. All it does is it allows us to focus on the areas we want to devote our time and energy into, instead of assuming command and responsibility on EVERYTHING. As much fun as it is to be in charge of everything, it's not me. I'm a simple kind of guy, and I hate having drama and issues, not to mention I absolutely HATE underperforming and not meeting goals I set for myself or my forum.
The reason for this post is to let everyone know that drastic changes are already underway and will continue to be made and implemented in the following weeks. March seems to be that golden month, aside for my birthday month, I see it as being the month of change.
WickedFire 2.0 is the project we are currently working on. It brings tools, information, social gathering and a hell of a lot more participation. Our goals are to reward our members for their time, effort and energy spent here, and we want to make sure you are all well taken care of. Knowledge is the body of WickedFire, it's what attracts people to this place. Instead of empty promises and goals, WickedFire is slowly transforming itself into a hub of knowledge, information, new and old friends, and most of all a community built on the power and generousity of sharing information freely.
This is your WickedFire and mine too. Building it up to be the best it can be is my first priority. If that means taking on new partners to help us meet that goal quicker, and with a structured environment and plan, then so be it. I'm not about making money with this place, but rather bringing a much needed change to the industry as it changes itself and becomes more focused on information, tips, tricks and community participation.
I'll be keeping everyone updated as soon as the ink is dry and the new changes and goals are set. No more promises from me, no more goals unless they are pre-approved, and let's look forward to a great new forum that is constantly proving all of it's critics wrong.
