Google has multiple data centers located across the united states and I'm pretty sure overseas as well.

Its very unlikely that Google would go down as they are all cluster servers syncing with each other, so even if one or two goes down they should be ok.

i don't understand affiliates who use hostgator... and it's not even the downtime that's the issue.

really, what kind of webmaster uses a web host that provides unlimited space and bandwidth like it's still 1997?
