Ive been running a small time local host in my area and its hard for me to keep up with fucktards in the market that are lowering the rates on their prices.

Ive noticed top hosts too are going down the competitive edge and more than making the pricing competitive, its becoming an low-bidder get its all.

With no truce in place, this shit is getting irrafuckingtating. We cant go on going down on prices for people that dont understand how business should work.

Quality is the same. Most of these guys are resellers for the honchos. So, how the hell does it differ with the exception of customer service?

I actually pay more for hosting than I probably should because of the support/service. Not everyone wants the cheapest service, especially if there are benefits to paying a little bit more.

unfortunately webhosting, with all the reseller plans available at very affordable prices, is very easy to get into, no upfront costs, everything is almost ready to go...
and for those who don't know anything about marketing, competing etc, the only logical way to gain customers is lowering prices, which is not good for anyone

For normal hosting for normal people, the level of support that is required from the provider is very minimal and mostly you require support in the beginning. Most of the bigger players also provide you with end user support and so makes it easy for you to start your reseller business.

Nowadays you can't rely on being a reseller full time. You need to find some alternate income streams. For most of the resellers out there, it is just a subsidiary income. Their main business could be design, programming etc and the reseller business provides them a means to fill up their server or some side income. That is mainly why you see such a low prices all around.
