how can / can i -make money from my video site ?

hi all
i am new here.

i would like to know what you think of my website ( CGLINUX 2d 3d Cg animation videos )

my site is about: 2d 3d computer graphics videos streamed from youtube dailymotion and google .
last month my site made 30.000 page views and 5000 unique visitors more or less


i have 1700 videos so far.. i have some backlinks i am not doing too bad in search engines..

-could i make money out of it?
-what do you think i should focus on to make money? text ads? banner ads? selling products?
-what do you think i should do to improve it?
-do you think i should buy ads to promote it?


any advices bould be really appreciated

You've got the PERFECT spot for a banner ad in the upper right corner, next to your title banner. Throw an ad up and see how it goes. Also, some adsense couldn't hurt. Good luck.

haha I mis-read your post I thought you said "Your in a PERFECT spot to get banned".

Hey dude nice site I was in 3D modeling and animation for about a year but I stopped doing it, I used to use maya, anyway I'm not sure if Ballistic Publishing or Gnomon Schools, has an affiliate program but they would do good, as well as any additional plug-in products you can find like Mudbox would probably do pretty good on your site as well, it seems like your traffic might be the type of people newer to the industry or looking for some inspiration, either way explore some more options like the ones I mentioned I think they could do good on your site.

Sorry just to add, if you can figure out if the people on your site are doing the work then add offers like Gnomon and Plug-ins but if the majority are there for the entertainment or to see some amazing work then stick with things like Ballistic Publishing.

i was thinking to promote softwares and cg stuff but didnt really knew where to go to... You pointed me some stuff i already knew but didnt digged to find out if they have affiliate porgrams. i ll go to check it out

Yes, any site can make money. Sometimes I wonder why people ask these questions as making money from any site on the web is possible. Just some niches are harder than others, and the design and content is also a major factor when it comes to earning from them, plus the traffic obviously.
