I've been doing seo for two years now and got myself a nice steady income, I can probably let my sites stay as tehy are for a month and still benefit from nice passive income.. But I realise that being stuck in SEO is going to be hard grafting, results are slow and you can spend months on sites, just to increase your daily earnings by +$10 or something.

It's reliable, but I dont think I'm going to get rich with this any time soon.

I've heard some good stuff about CPA, although you can't go crazy and make steady income on autopilot, there possibility of makings hundreds of bucks per day is there, so it's really appealing to me.

I was wondering if someone could point me to a beginners resource on how to get into CPA marketing.

Thanks

I dont understand exactly what you are asking?

You could use the SEO you have already done for whatever current sites you are running and put CPA offers on those if you can find offers that relate to the niche of your sites.

You really need to decide on the route you want to take first and then do some initial research and then jump in and get testing, testing and testing some more.

If, for example, you wanted to go down the PPV route, try a training resource like PPV Playbook or similar.

Good luck!

sory about the confusion, forget the CPA aspect, what I'm really concerned about is the traffic element of it, I agree that SEO is a viable traffic source, but the payoff is a bit crap, and it takes a long time to work, and only viable for playing the long game.

There are some fantastic CPA offers that come and go, and you have no time to monetise using SEO, and of course, scalability of SEO is a problem. It's far easier to scale up a PPV + CPA offer [from what I understand].

I'm interested in learning about PPV/media buy.

I checked out a few of the resources listed and I can't say I agree with anything listed there. We make a large portion of our revenue running buys for clients from fortune 100 to small business and it just isn't that simple unfortunately.

You need someone that has really good buyers, can consult on the creative, has run buys for similar products in the past and knows where it will perform, controls enough overall spend to ensure that everywhere they are buying actually cares about the account, and you need to have about $10K per month (we like to prepare our clients to back out in 60-90 days) to get started. All depending upon the fact that you actually have a business model that can perform in the environment to begin with.

People will say you can run on self serve platform and test out exchanges etc. I have never seen anyone be successful doing something like that. Display is a high risk high reward environment and there is a lot of money to be made there if you do it right...... but like everything else in this world it's not easy.

LOL, sure, people can make money only with your help. No other way!

don't mean to be an ass, but if you're only making $10 increments here and there, then you're clearly doing something wrong pertaining to SEO and my guess is picking niches.

nice tits though

Agreed on the fact you need good people running your buys. Especially ones who have basic math skills. I'm currently running a buy on a UK network at the and the person running my campaign doesn't have basic maths skills. She constantly makes mistakes and doesnt remove placements quickly enough when they go in the red. It seems subtracting spend from revenue is an new concept to her. So after banging my head on the wall for 3 months and speaking directly to her manager they have agreed to allow me access to the back end of their database and run a daily report on all the placements on my account. Funny thing is instead of just giving me placement ID's they are also giving me the names of the websites lulz
