I heard there were people who search for affiliates using affiliate networks/directories and affiliate forums, but some one said that this might not apply to already popular affiliate sites like Amazon, Commission Junction and Clickbank.

See I have a 45 page ebook that I wrote within the last couple of weeks, and I was curious if you have to actually go out and find Amazon affiliates to promote the product for you, or do you just post your ebook on Amazon hoping it to be found by affiliates who just show up and promote your product?

Never leave your marketing to others; meaning, you should always be in proactive mode to getting traffic, affiliates, and people that will push your product. I would first get a list of 100 websites, bloggers, and forums where I can get social influencers in my niche to push my product on their own website, and discuss with them about promoting my amazon product (Hint: go for people who have websites WITH TRAFFIC).

There is no sit back and wait for the money to come in scenario, you have to be in hustle mode, and find people. Similar to how an agent gets their authors all interviews on TV Shows to get their product out there, you have to do the same thing online AND offline. Welcome to marketing.
