How do you know if your website got hacked or has a malicious software on it?

Hey guys,

Some of my websites lost all their traffic from Google all of a sudden and I was wondering if maybe it's because they've been hacked and have some sort of malicious software in them.

I know some of my sites actually did get hacked and someone was using my server to send emails so that's why I'm wondering.

Any way to verify that?
 


it will say it in the google search results, you can also look for strange codes on the bottoms of some of the pages.

Getting hacked is a bitch. My entire porn network got crabs a while back and I ended up just deleting all the sites.
 
Actually they have been hacked. They get redirected to some other website when I visit them.

How can I prevent getting hacked in the future?
 
use virus software like AVG

done leave your ftp software running

the problem is in your computer and everytime you enter a PW it logs it. This is the same problem I had so I used the bad PC to clean up the sites and than I logged in from a good PC to change all of the PW. You can also contact your host and sometimes they can clean it up. They may charge a fee for it as well.

If your not a tech guy like me than light the infected computer on fire and throw it in a river!
