I was looking around wisegeek today just for the hell of it, and I noticed that they don't have any ads at all on any of their pages. No adsense, banners, nothing. So how are they making money?

Oh I'm an idiot. I just realized I was using Firefox (I usually use IE) with Adblock turned on. That's why I couldn't see the ads.

But this made me think. How many people are using Firefox w/ adblock? I mean you have to wonder, how big are guys with adsense monetized sites losing out here because of firefox/adblocking?

I remember you can detect adblock and put the faggot to disable it if they want to visit the site.

Yes you are an idiot. Admitting this to yourself is the first step in recovery.

Also, Adblock is actually the greatest threat to the internet and mankind as we know it since y2k. There's really no money to be made anymore.
