How I Lost $4,600 through COPEAC

What about the 3 weeks of legit leads he sent? Breaking the terms for 48h justifies to scrub all the leads? I'd expect my AM and network to be accommodating in cases like that.

I don't know the details and maybe the OP was sending fraudulent traffic for the whole 3 weeks. Still I don't like how everybody starts bashing the OP just because the forum owner and the network owner put him down. Beside mkrongel and the OP nowbody knows the details.

Agree here..all other traffic may have been totally legit, and now not getting paid for it because of 2 days is a bit shitty.

justo, this would make perfect sense if it was actually 'scamming' during those 2 days. It was a 100% iframe of the offer page, with an added header "IPAD FOR COLLEGE KIDS"

If that's scamming ... wow

papajohn mentioned "legitimate" traffic, implying that some was a scam. My response was meant more in the context of how a network/advertiser could discourage scam behavior in general. I wasn't intending to apply it to this specific situation. Sorry bro.

Understandable. It's just frustrating when people come in the thread and say "scammer lol he deserves it" when they haven't even read anything.

I think one view of the story is this:

If the leads were backing out, iframe or not, I think the dude should be paid. If the leads are NOT backing out, then the advertiser has the right to not pay.

Since Krongle is saying the leads didnt convert, why didnt the advertiser start scrubbin/shaving/CB the leads from the beginning? I find it odd they waited until they actually found a breech in their agreement to then decide it was time to CB all the leads.

I see on points in this matter, but what bothers me is if his quality was shit, the dude should have been notified up front about it and had it dealt with. If this guy never got caught with an iframe but had nonconverting traffic all this time, Im wondering if any of leads would have been CB'd

Really?

That is a WOW moment, leads would have backed out just fine and the advertiser is profiting from this traffic. No terms & conditions on the offer and THIS is what he gets fucked for???

I agree the OP is a pussy for not using a seasoned account or contributing anything and then expect us to be his mob for hire. That's definitely abusing WF and he deserves to be raped for it.

I don't personally run, nor ever have ran, zip/email offers because I assumed up front that this type of advertiser is scum. This thread is just a case in point.

I'm curious, if the leads backed out for the advertiser - did copeac get paid?

We did not get paid on this traffic.

Also i was not involved but i will say my team does fight for pubs, and we do realize the advertisers can be emotional and we ask the advertisers to look at the numbers and lets make it right. Obviously in this case the numbers spoke, the iframing that was done for 2 days was probably done longer as the advertiser said it was no good which prompted them to find the page.

Really why would someone throw away something so small (The $4800) for something much bigger in the long run (Weeks of $4800).

Nah, like I said we are friends and I know the entire situation in and out. I offered to post on his behalf, but he didn't want to do it that way.

The only reason I am still discussing this issue is because an honest affiliate is being taken advantage of and as an affiliate myself, it's a little disheartening to think that if I was in that situation, I would be out $XXX,XXX+ for 2 days of 'legit' iframing? To me, that's pretty damn scary.
