Hey everyone,
We recently launched a speed dating website - we're hosting events in London, England and trying to compete for the terms 'Speed Dating', Speed Dating London', Speed Dating Events' and other terms such as 'Dating Events' and then the specific events like 'Speed Dating Kingston'.
Could someone with some SEO knowledge take a look at Speed Dating, Speed Dating London, Speed Dating Events and give me some feedback on the websites current SEO and what I should do to improve it.
I know I need to start working on backlinks and building the organic traffic. I think we've got most bases covered on the homepage with keywords, meta tags, H1-H6 headings, use of <b> tags, ALT text, internal linking..we're going to add a Google sitemap next...anything else I need to do? How hard is it going to be to rank #1 for 'Speed Dating'?
Another issue I have is someone else has registered the .co.uk of my brand..any ideas on how to go about getting that back? I'm aware that with the .co.uk it might be easier to rank on Google UK which is my main target audience plus there cannot be another website with my name, it will only confuse customers!
Feedback and help is appreciated
Thanks, Rob
