How long did you lurk at WF?

Just wondering how long people have lurked and watched the forum for a long time before actually signing up? A post I remember reading at FinchSells said he lurked for about a year and a half I lured for about 6 months after finding out about WickedFire forums

Reason:
My reasons were pretty obvious... I didn't know many folks in the community that well at the time, and read the posts for information value. Yes I raped WickedFire for some time, felt guilty, and made myself a member.

Way back when I was still Googling UrbanDictionary to find out wtf people were talking about, I was apprehensive about becoming a member of a lot of forums. You see noobs being taken apart by the lions, and you royally shit yourself. Then I saw some posts I had to take the piss out of... Turns out I was pretty good at that, and became a valued member of the community. I know a few of the guys here now, so I don't feel so much of an outcast and a leper. Except for the lesions.

How long were you a lurker, before registering? And why?!

It wasn't really aimed at the guys who have been in the game since day dot... I got into IM late, as I was in offline/online wholesale, and learnt as much as possible as quick as possible. I'm not really too arsed about the guys who have been doing this years taking the piss tbh mate

Didn't lurk at all. Came over here from Warrior Forum, registered immediately. Assumed it was exactly the same. So I didn't read any of the rules, I made introduction threads in many of the different sections (just in case someone missed it), and proceeded to make useless polls about shit that benefits no one.
