OK- I've been doing ok on my arb sites w/ a 4:1 payout ratio (just need to have some sites that get good volume now- my topics are a little too niche I think...

I just started a adult content CPA site and I was wondering how you guys advertise? I am using 7search now- and this is what I've done:

1) All 'outlier' words (less than 1k volume in 7search) at 6 cents
2) All words 50k - 100k at .03 cents
3) All words more than 100k at .01 cent

I figure that I would go broke paying more than a cent for words w/ 1 million+ search volume- so I'd rather just get a low listing w/ a possibility of a hit than lots of hits and go bankrupt.

Thoughts on this? I'm actually surprised at the volume I am getting on some of the strangest keywords.. right now I have 2k.

Should I even pay .06 cents for those outliers? i was thinking of just lowering even those to .03, then everything else at .01.

This is what I put together (don't click if you are at work...)

Unfortunately I suspect that pricing model is not going to do you any good as for the most part the more searched terms are much more competitive, so going with a lower price means you will likely get no volume across the board.

Test it out and see how it goes, and I do get some 1 cent traffic on some very highly searched keywords, so all you can do is test.

Since you can't spend more than you have deposited, I am not sure how you could go bankrupt testing this out.

thanks - for today I am lowering everything 3 cents for volume under 1k and 1 cent for everything else...

getting too much volume and I can't visit my adult CPA at work to look at any stats. Not like I'm spending tons of cash, but still don't want to waste my money.

Any other thoughts guys?

Here is my two cents. I have some experience with 7search and adult stuff. Im acctually running a campaing there. and its doing pretty well.

You need to find out what each keyword is worth to you(your campaign).
Idealy you know what the cost of the keyword is, what volume of traffic it will bring (these two you know), and how well its converts. From there you have a better undestanding how much you shoudl be paying. Dont base you bid only on the cost and volume. i would gladly pay 3x more for a keyword that converts than one that dosent.
For example "free" keywords will get tons of traffic. but no conversion. If they are looking for something free they will not pull out their cc.

also keep in mind that how much you bid will effect how much traffic you get(positioning), and your add might also save you tons of money. Target it as best you can.

Just my two cents.

thanks for the tip- i just wish 7search keyword lists loaded faster it takes forever to update bids.

right now i have all 1k< words at .03, everything else at .01. I will look into which words will convert better later and see how that goes...
