Let me tell you my story. I was in high school when I first heard about making mney online. At first I thought "yeah, sure, making money online without doing anything! It's obviously a scam!". I'm sure I wasn't the only one. However, I decided to give it a go.
"Ok, so... I'll make mone online. But how?"
This is where the so-called gurus come into play. Their slick landing pages sold me so many dreams! I really believed I could earn $10k while sleeping!
Six months and several hundred dollars later I was very discouraged (and my wallet suddenly felt lighter but that's another story). I thought gurus were only scammers and I was about to give up, when...
... I found THE ONE!
Now I easily make $840/day on AdSense... and that's when I don't much much effort on it!

Come on people. There's plenty of people making money on adsense, and why would you ASK if you can make money.

Just do it.

I have one political site that's made $1,300 in the last 6 months. (that's obviously my best site) but I get enough to pay my car payments with all the sites combined.

The trick with adsense is that you either have to get a site like FullOfFish.com which was new in the market and now makes $10,000/day OR you end up having 20 - 30 sites that collectively get you enough to pay your rent.

Then you can concentrate on Adwords and affiliates and make your real money!
