How successful is your video blog?

I was reading SEO_Mike's post about his soulja boy video blog, and I was wondering if anybody else has had success with niche video blogs? I was thinking about giving it a try, but I want to make sure that it's worth the price I pay for the domain name.

reread SEO_Mike's posts on the topic - he started it on a subdomain and then when there was the traffic, he bought a domain. check my sig for a slew of video blogs that I made to get a feel for things - all on subdomains.

i actually made Andrea Can Cook for my guy friends who don't know how to cook, and it's become pretty popular actually, also by using youtube and getting a director account, that has definitely increased my traffic for me. unfortunately video blogging takes more time than writing due to editing time and upload. i hope that youtube starts an ad program where you can put ads on your own videos and get part of the income from clicks

i tell you what....simple stuff like that is bringing me traffic..don't get me wrong, i can cook up gourmet meals...but my guy friends online couldn't seem to want to try on there own how to make cinnamon rolls from a can, so i put up that video for them, and now it has 2100 views, and my rice krispie video has over 3k views. my readers are mostly college age single guys which is a huge online market and in addition to it, i have not sent any traffic to it besides the text link on my blog on on my sig here..

Video Blogs Can Be successful I've set up cutesexywomen.com in one day and took a week or so to build the flash player, tweak the design, get a couple backlinks, and do some PPC everytime someone signs up I make $35 bucks and the conversions are pretty decent, I only average so far like $70 bucks/month with the site but I don't really do anything with it, its just organic traffic so scale that up and you can make good cash from it.

Plus I'm expecting that $70/mo to increase once traffic levels go beyond 50 unique per day and once I push out another 300 posts to get indexed, oh yeah and backlinks, you know all the repetitive boaring shit that I haven't got around to yet haha.
