Well ViScript 2.0 is now out and truth be told I haven't really been a merchant for all that long but this time around I'm really playing the other side of the fence game instead of doing the affiliate marketing directly.

So I've got a product set up, I've got an affiliate program through ClickBank (Yeah I know but there cheap and more places are coming soon) and the people that buy ViScript are told all about how to market ViScript to earn them extra cash plus some other ways.

My Question to all the affiliates here is what attracts you to promote a product?, I just got everything set up so I haven't made much affiliate sales yet, only a couple but the goal here is to find out what affiliates are looking for and how can I as a new merchant give them everything they want so they will start and/or keep promoting my products.

So I though what better place to ask but here on the affiliate forum, so you as affiliates what would make you want to promote this type of Video Blogging Software?.

I too was and still am an affiliate myself so I know the overall things an affiliate looks for but curious to see what everyone else looks for as well.

EDIT: The one thing I do notice about most merchants is they don't really interact with there affiliates all that much on a personal ask me a question and I'll respond to the best of my knowledge basis, so that is one thing I'll be working on.

what makes me want to promote a product:

-scalability
-multiple offers from diff networks
-payouts

the market you're going after in my opinion is the get rich quick or the work at home crowd. Sell it as such. Clickbank is a great place for it, but as with every other ebook and get become a millionaire on the internet script out there. I'm the wrong guy to ask though because if it works that great then why not use it and get rich with it? That's always the question in my opinion.

That is a good question and I've never claimed that the script could make you rich, just say that its a tool to assist you in making more money, but I see what you mean on that affiliate type of aspect, also it does do better with the traffic you mentioned, but then again those people tend to buy everything with the word money in it. I'll have to keep that in mind when I do up some more landing pages.

since you're marketing to Clickbank affiliates, you have to make sure you have a very HIGH converting sales process... to attract most of the clickbank affiliates (the ones worth attracting anyways) you may do well to write one of those fucking 650px white with a dark BG websites and put screenshots and stuff on it.

Then, make sure your affiliates have really good tools.

By tools I mean:

1. get some articles subjects together. This way you can give fresh ideas on what they can write about.

2. put together a set of interview questions and invite the affiliates to contact you to conduct a phone interview they can record.

3. Put together a small report on why you built it, what it does, and why it's so wonderful, and let the person put their affiliate links (pdf brand) in your report.

4. have a couple conference calls with freeconferencecall.com to pump the affiliates up with sales numbers, and do Q&A on the product. Record conference call and let affiliates have it.

5. make sure you cut affiliates on BIG with upfront sales.

6. Make an upgrade offer or upsell offer that pays your affiliates on the backend. This way they'll feel like they got paid 2x on 1 referral.

7. Put an affiliate blog together, and stay up to speed on which of your tools are working the best, and how to make them better.

8. put together a decent keyword list for the affiliates

9. the biggest Clickbank launches I see have contests attached to them... maybe try that

10. keep that sales process converting. Clickbank shows how well you convert and people LOVE those numbers.

Hope that helps.

I'm getting ready to sell a clickbank product, and I'll be using those things myself.

well whether it does or not that's what you selling a script that people can make money with. Look on clickbank, search by gravity and see what's selling follow their lead. You won't find a sales page that you can make a couple bucks with this that's just not going to sell anything.

Here's what I'd do if I were you.

I'd make a 2 to 3 minute promo video showing
all the benefits of your product and highlight
the main features that people would be interested
in.

Then, you could allow affiliates to simply add their
unique aff id into the "redirect" of the video.

All the affiliate has to do is send out the video and
let you do the rest, and they get credit for the sale.

I have a piece of software my friend made for my
class that will do this. I've yet to mess with it
myself (I always custom made Camtasia's for each
JV partner) but am eager to have it tested out.

If anyone is serious about using it, shoot me a PM
I'll let ya check it out.

There are a few on the market that cost some cash
but you can have this one for free.

Don't PM me if you don't intend on actually using it
right away though.

man.. your sales copy sure looks soo much different than
other cbs products.. what a nice fresh air..

but you might want to add some benefits of
creating video blogs.. because some people might
be uninformed about how they can make cool money with
video blogs..

and also show them that it's a pain in the a$$ to create
one on your own..

probably create an opt-in list with free report
about how you made a video blog and made some $$$ with it..

but, well, you're the pro..

uh.. okay, here's from an affiliate's pov..

just check out

derek did a pretty good job treating his affiliates..
