How to determine processing bank?

Is there an easy way to determine who the processing merchant is on an offer, either before or after making a credit card purchase on the site? Does anything show up in the CC statement, or is this information required to be listed anywhere on the site itself?

I'm trying to find out who the processing bank is for a site that is selling a weight-loss supplement, mostly to see if there is a way to gather and parse this information somehow.

For what purpose?

If you contact them regarding your purchase, they will have nothing to do with you. They will require you to work through your bank and not contact them regarding their client for contract and business purposes. There are only a few legitimate reasons that they will talk to you at all.

Actually, contrary to popular belief, it is possible. Just not automated. Requires someone to manually locate and log it, then submit to someone inside one of the three card association entities for further review. Ultimately, you need to know what you're looking for, otherwise you'll have to buy it and go thru the route of figuring it out from the consumer statement, which is doable, but again, challenging is a nice way to put it!

Mostly, you probably don't want to bother, as it will bug the shit outta you if you can't narrow it down quickly enough.

Of course it's possible, how else would they know where to send the money. But, as soon as you contact them about their client, you'll get the very LEGAL response that they all say which is that you should work through your bank and that they'll have nothing to do with you. LOL!
