so last night around 3:30am i started rolling out my ppc campaings from other search engines and moving them onto the adwords network for search. all my pages are what work well on the other big 2 search engines, but adwords quality score bot fucking reamed me. i got 14 hits around 20-35 cents then all the sudden my CTR went down the fuckin tube, and my CPC all went up above $10. all my sites have contact page, privacy policy (duplicate from my other landers), and a at least a page of text and good links. maybe the privacy policy has to do with this?
i was reviewing my page today, and i noticed i forgot to upload a robots.txt to disallow my php link redirect script. did some research cause i've never used adwords before and found this on googles site...
How to exclude your landing pages from AdWords visits The relevance of your landing page is an important part of the AdWords quality review process. The AdWords system retrieves all advertiser landing pages by default to ensure a fair and consistent review of all advertiser sites within AdWords.
We believe that a non-participating advertiser does detract from the user's search experience, and from the overall quality of the AdWords program. While you can exclude your site from review, this will provide us with little information about your landing page's quality and relevance. Therefore, if you restrict AdWords from visiting your landing pages, you will experience a drop in Quality Scores for your related keywords. (This will cause higher minimum bid requirements for any landing page for which you've restricted access.)
While we strongly recommend against restricting our system's automatic review of your landing page, you can edit your site's robots.txt file to avoid a review. The file must explicitly exclude your page from our system visits as follows:
what's up with this?! how are you guys blocking google from seeing your affiliate links? do i need to roll out some fantomaster hardcore cloaking shiz or what? for now i'm on full stop on adwords. fuck, it be time to light up a fatty and chill for the rest of the evening mon.

Disallow: / - To prevent AdsBot-Google from accessing parts of your site, add the following to your robots.txt file: User-agent: AdsBot-Google
Disallow: /exclude/
Where exclude represents the directories you don't want the AdWords system to visit.
