How to lose $100 in under 5 hours with Google Adwords

It'll work, for a little bit... just like all cloaking. Except probably not as long, since he's only relying on his own data.

Really? Damn, I don't know much about blackhat. I'd pay somebody to learn how to do this, or if they could do this for me, even if it's for a short while. I have a campaign on Yahoo that's doing well, and would be able to make my money back on Google quick, if I could get past their QS. Instead I'm wasting money on landing pages, domains, webspace, etc.. when I don't have to with Yahoo. Not only that, I don't even know if this landing page will be "acceptable" with Google so that will require more testing.

What kind of time frame are you talking about 1 hr? or 24 hrs? If it was 24 hrs.+, it would be worth paying for this technique or somebody to do it.

I'll try to look into these methods more, but I don't know any programming so I doubt I'll get anywhere.

I think this is all a moot point. If you use your own domain and a redirect, Google only looks at the final landing page (the page the user ends up at) in their attempts to assign your ad/keyword a Quality Score. In this case they will simple use the content of the merchants landing page, which should be pretty close to your ads and keywords and you'll be fine (otherwise you need to more tightly focus your ads and keywords)

If your redirect is a landing page with just graphics and really no content it's not going to work then well is it? Since google does take your landing page content and ppc ad into consideration which highly effects your CTR.

I meant to say, your landing page content and PPC ad is taken into consideration from Google which effects your QS.

Doesn't adwords do manual checks as well? I think I read that once that they use indians or whatever for that.

I never said anything about a landing page. I'm talking about a straight redirect i.e. you register xyz-product.com and and use an iframe redirect to your aff link (or other redirect method)

If you're serious about IP serving, here are some of the known G**gle bot ip addresses:

http://www.iplists.com/google.txt
It's not as easy as cloaking for all Google IP ranges... They have a ton of ranges in the US and abroad that are not registered to themselves (seems like it's mainly for call centers and such, they just use wholesale bandwidth that isn't in a Google IP range), and those people do a lot of manual checks.

Exactly. Those are just *some* of G's KNOWN IP addresses. I seriously doubt anyone has a comprehensive list of ALL of them.

But, if OP really wants to try to cloak by IP, that should get him started.

Alright, here we go. Depending on the server load you can deal with, this is a decent method for catching google bots NOT on iplists.com. Which is most of them.
1) Check if there is a referer or not
2) If there is no referer, reverse dns the IP, and have it search for keywords like inkotomi, yahoo, google, crawl, bot, etc. If found, cloak.
Optionally, if the reverse DNS is too much on your server, you can also run the user-agent through a list of known consumer user agents, and if there is no match, THEN reverse dns it.
Also, they've been known to use a certain couple Level3 Communications IPs to inspect. The IPs don't come to me right now though.

Properly cloaking will take more than just IP cloaking to pull off, and will take a lot of manual effort to find out the call center IPs, but some of us have pulled it off quite nicely. After getting tons of campaigns kicked, you pretty much find out all of their tricks. Not sure of all of them, but my tech guy has found enough to greatly help my PPC campaigns.
