How to make money online

I hope that you have other websites that make you money because MySpace resource sitea aren't exactly a stable niche... (ie. MySpace pwns you.)

If you want to be *really* helpful, you could create a thread about marketing and SEO for MySpace resource sites for the people who have them already. That would be a good contribution. :)

Hi Rodger, Meatpopsicle, Adsense_Loser, etc. Welcome back. We missed you terribly.

In my introduction thread I mentioned that I make $800 a day with a myspace resource site. This revenue is from CPA ads, CPM ads, and adsense. So far the site is doing well and gets tons of traffic and lots of revenue.

So how do you go about making a lot of money online as I am?

First you need a website. And you need traffic and some sort of an ad/revenue service (adsense, valueclick, copeac for example). Content is also imporant.

Create a website by registering a domain or you can use blogger or wordpress. Get hosting and change the nameservers if needed. Blogger and wordpress are free while a domain plus hosting usually costs $10 a month. Godaddy has domains and yahoo has good hosting packages.

For traffic, you need visitors who come to your site and click ads or fill out forms. Thats where the revenue comes from. Without traffic you can't make money. To get traffic try exchanging link and social bookmarking. Submit your story to redit and digg. Post your website in the myspace forums or on digitalpoint. Consider demoz as well. Get a facebook or a myspace or youtube account and try to get traffic that way. Maybe create a blog and blog about your site. Put your website in the newspaper or magazine. Try radio or tshirt or sticker advertising.

For revenue, sign up for adsense and copeac or maxbounty. Those are the easist to get into. Valueclick and azoogle are much harder to get approved so don't worry about those. Then copy paste your adsense code into your website. Make the ads blend in your background and remove the borders. They key is to integrate the ads well.

With the CPA offers put up a link like this FREE IPOD CLICK HERE and it links to the form. Pretty simple.

You also need content. Software can do that for you or you can pay someone to create it. PHP can scrape content as well. Lots of options here.

Thats all you need to create a profitable, money making website. Pretty simple, all you need to do is work hard and you can make money online.

Quite the contrary, Laura. My revenue has been rising steadily since I launched the site. There have been no signs of any setbacks. I try to remain optimistic and i think that helps me succeed where others fail. The demand for myspace profile mods shows no signs of slowing and traffic is staggering. :D

With regards to SEO and traffic I recommend social bookmarking and social networking. Digg, stumbleupon and redit all have very high PR and tons of traffic. So try submitting a story with a link to your website on those social bookmarking sites. Also, get a youtube, myspace and fecebook account and promote your site there. Those sites have a lot of traffic so the potential for viral word of mouth traffic is huge. There are tons of social bookmarking services and social netowrks you can join and promote your site on. In adition, write a blog and get your RSS feed on the major blog search engines. You can even promote your site on forums. Use your sig link or submit a website review. :bigear:

You just have to try it out. No need to be negative guys when I'm offering advice. As they say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. :D :)

Hi BetaGamma. I have a myspace resource site, I just acquired it a couple of weeks ago. I'm awaiting the domain transfer before I develop it any further (the gentleman I bought it from just registered and set it up before he sold it and so we have to wait to transfer it again) and it's got a fab domain name. I manage some professional business's myspace accounts and I can tell you that myspace is booming. It's not going anywhere any time soon. Anyway, once the domain name transfers over to me, I plan to add more content and promote it heavily and I'm pretty sure that once I built it up it will generate steady revenue for me. Your post is inspiring. Thanks for sharing :)

Since when do people listen to a guy that has no more then 40 posts and claims that he wins a shitload of money ?Since when people listen to a guy that started a thread with no real info on it what so ever?

So trying to provide helpful advice makes me a noob? Ok thanks for the heads up.
Your providing helpful advice only for the noobs ....actually not for them either as they now that shit too. If that's helpful in your mind you should leave wf now or just stick to lurking!

I am sure it has. MySpace is a monster. My point is that you are entirely dependent upon another entity. If MySpace made some changes to their rules (and they do - ask any widget company), your site could become obsolete just like that.

I was very interested in buying a resource site some months ago that was making more than $1k a day, but in the end it wasn't worth it (even though the price was right). Too much dependence upon MySpace.

I am as optimistic as they come, but I also believe in living in reality (especially in business). :)

Laura

ETA: No offense meant to any MySpace site owners - I think it's a fine addition to any portfolio if you understand the market. :D

What kind of change could that be? I don't see how they could legally stop me provided I don't harm myspace in any way such as phishing or malware.

I def recommend giving myspace a try. Thanks for yoru understanding. No hard feelings. :xomunch:

Great, motivate all the idiots to fill the web with more useless crap!

Seriously though, if people can't learn this much on their on, definately don't need to be making a site in the first place, especially one they think will "make them money".

Someone please delete this thread, WF is the only place i can come to and learn something without filtering out noob posts.

pssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........do you feel the troll killer chemicals soaking in your pores? Not long before you try to make a post and you panic, wait, what happened? I can't make a post then you see your name with banned under it.:love-smiley-085: Trolls of Shame will be your new home.

tough crowd...:anon.sml:

Beta,

Just understand the most of the people flaming you are pros at this thingy. You make a post that is like, kindergarten Online Money Making, and than want everyone to believe that you are raking in $800 Benjamins a day! GTFO! I would say it doesn't sound believable because you have not explained anything! You didn't go into depth about traffic, seo, adsense, keywords, who to target, budgeting, hosting, if you gonna use Blogger or Wordpress, what's the advantage of one over the other? These kind of things. But if you come on here and say, fire is hot. everyone is gonna fuck with you. Its that simple.
