How to monetize a philosophical blog?

Books. Most interested in reading philosophy blogs would be interested in reading books.

Maybe have your book suggestion of the month and get the referral on it? Amazon would work there. Otherwise G adsense.
 


I've made a site a few years ago that has potential, it looks like shit but the concept is good biggestrainwrecks.com

I've been looking for someone to throw people under the bus all day "trainwreck of the day" etc. It needs work but its getting 50,000 visits a month decent...

If all else fails you could try to monetize with the "Wikipedia Monetization Method"

In a nutshell, this involves begging on a monthly basis until your visitors hand over the filthy lucre
 
You'd need to make your own product, but you could study one sought after professor, like Slavoj Zizek, write a premium priced "how to understand him" guide and have a bunch of blog posts.
