I have a site that gets about 130-150 people a day through google. It ranks for "how to build a site"/"building a site" keywords, plus some long tails.

I've tried bluehost and hostgator affiliates. Only have had one conversion through blue host in like a month.

Currently trying adsense. Making anywhere from 1 to 5 dollars a day. Kinda sucky still.

Any suggestions?

Tools, Wordpress template sites (themeforest, themify, thesis theme, etc..)

Template sites as in being an affiliate for someone who sells paid wordpress themes?

Tutorials! That's what they are searching for with those terms. You should try looking into tutorial sites like TutsPlus, TeamTreeHouse.. I think TutsPlus ended their program, but the latter seems like a good option.

Find difficult parts of web tutorials and post them, people can be very specific when there looking to solve problems

Simply copy what the big players are doing in the web development niche. Shortcut is better than throwing darts on the wall.

Thanks guys.
I've decided to do what omnipotent said.
Looks like it's started working out

Great suggestion, I would do the same.

Also, like (O_o) said, I would start collecting emails: put in your sidebar an opt-in box with a free-to-download report, and build a list of prospective users. You may try to monetize them after.

Hope this helps :)

Building social media advertisement for your website would be great. You may create a Facebook fan page and a YouTube video for your web hosting niche. Thanks :)
