How where you're holiday sales?

I'm curious how you guys did this holiday season? 2014 was my best year ever. We beat 2013 by the end of August. But fuck the holiday sales where pure dog shit. Down almost 65% as of right now. I have no idea what to make of it. This happened with proven tested products. Makes absolutely no sense at all.

Trending in poor economic times: quality and old school products.

Didn't run any holiday promotions but things are sitting fairly consistent whilst competitors running pretty generous promotions. Can't really complain about that.

Going to switch it up this year and run some post-christmas promotions, think it will work well in my niches.

Agree. I'm in evergreen niches as possible. And <$10 toys shouldn't be an issue

Not as bad as my ecommerce ebook of which I foolishly didn't get enough printed in time for Christmas and probably lost a bulk load of sales as a result.

Won't comment on online business, since it's service related, but as far as investments go, doing pretty good.

Most of my investments are in sports season tickets, and I'd say I sell over 50% of inventory in the holiday season.

You'd be surprised at how many people wake up on Christmas morning, realize they didn't buy a gift, and pay the ridiculous markup to get instant download tickets.
