How would you invest $100/month online?

I got into a discussion tonight with a friend trying to get a handle on making monies online. He, more or less, has $100/month to invest in it and was asking me what I would do.

Of course, I gave him the old "set up a network of sites" yadda yadda crap
and "or create one great site and push people to it".

And it got me thinking, how would you invest $100/month online?
 


At $100/month I'd hell him either spend zero monies for a while and save until til he has enough to lose some in PPC learning a traffic source, or decide on two sites, commit to them, and focus everything into them. Two so if one doesn't work out he has something else going.

If he did it right and the winds of fortune blew his way, for $100 he could get a small site built and ranked with some traffic coming in within a month's time, sell it for twice what he made it for, and go from there.

Tough question.
 
I'd play pokerstars and buy monthly porn memberships with the winnings

Add adsense or EPN: $0



Save the other $80 to learn PPC. either gotta find a dirt cheap niche or save it up for a few months

I would also add buy TheBestSpinner (77/year) the first month. And get Scrapebox the second month.

This is the absolute minimum tools you need to start SEO, in my opinion.

Fucking a, just admit you only have a hundred bucks a month to invest. Playing it off makes trombone sad.

$100 bux? Not much to play with. Setup an interesting blog with some adsense ads. Use the money to buy backlinks.

If you only have $100 forget about thebestspinner. use spinnerchief instead. it is free and just as good. Can't argue with scrapebox though. With the leftover money see if you can get a good Xrumer blast to your site from BST. That should give you a good start.

I wouldn't spend anything except time... and time = money.

I agree with 070707, you don't NEED to spedn money to make money online.
There are free courses out there that are really great. Is your friend just starting out? If so, you guys could work together, you could build the site and he could supply content, or whatever.
Point is 100$ isn't much start up money. What you could do is start by buying domain+hosting, then trying to build up from there with 80$ to spare, wait a couple of months until you have 300$ to start up with and make your move. You might already be making money and this way you'll have more start up money to boost your site\blog into more $$$.

Haha if only. I'm not rich or wealthy but I am making monies online. He's new to the game, though. And still thinks DP is a good source....

This wasn't meant to be a "what should I tell my friend" or "what should I do since it's secretly me" (cause it isn't for me). I was really interested in how you guys would spend it.

I actually like this idea. Assuming you can stand to work with this guy over the long term.

Have him invest in a project with you, make him write content, use the $100/mo to build links, split profits 70/30, win.
