I've been talking to a friend about this who's in a Ska/Punk/Funk band in the DC area (Maryland burbs). Long story short, the live music scene is pretty barren, aside from a few biggish bars.

The good news is these bars have massive email lists, and I imagine getting them to mention your show would work wonders for getting people to come out.
