How would you spend $10?

Think about it, $10...how much traffic could $10 bring you? Not much. Most likely you'll use that $10 to stuff your grill with McDonalds.

So, why not give it to a good cause. You'll feel good that you helped someone that desparately needs it, and you won't miss it five minutes after it's gone.

Very simply, Christy is dying, and her mother is doing everything that she can to make ends meet. Unfortunately, when you have a child that needs a lot of care, it's very difficult to keep a work schedule. Julie works two jobs, both part time. She misses a lot of work due to her daughter's condition. Right now, she is way behind on bills. Two months behind on her house payment even.

My goal for the blog is to raise enough awareness to help her get some money to take the financial strain off of her, and allow her a little freedom in how much she has to work.

Her daughter may die anyday, or she may live for a few more years. It's unknown, but we can help her spend more time with Christy.

So many of you like to talk about how much you make or how much so and so makes, but what good is that money if you only use it for selfish reasons?

I'm broke and still found a way to give $xxx. All I'm asking is that you donate $10. That's it. And to make things sweeter, if you do donate, just forward me the email from PayPal and I'll put you in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the website of your choice. The GC is coming out of my pocket, I'm that serious about helping Julie. I'll randomly draw for the GC on March 10th.

FYI I could turn $10.00 into a mid-six figure income which would allow me to donate a lot more.

No offense Mike, but do you know these people personally. I am all for helping out, and if you know them, that is good enough for me.
 
Gave $10... I usually dont' do that since I'm such a cynic that I think all online donations are scams, but since I believe you are a trustworthy guy I thought I'd help out!

aeiouy - Yes, Julie is a very close friend of my wife's. Amanda (my wife) told me her story about a month ago when the manager at work was giving Julie a bunch of shit for taking time to be with her daughter in the hospital. It pissed me off enough to want to help.

The hardest part of raising money for her, I'm learning, is trying to convince people that a) I'm not doing this for personal gain, b) ALL of the funds donated goto to Julie and not me, and c) proving that this is a real person and not a scam.

If anyone is considering donating and is still unsure because they feel that I may be running a scam, call Children's Hospital in Omaha, NE. Julie O'Brien is the mother Christy Ellen O'brien is the patient. Julie has authorized me to give out her home address if people are unsure or even if they just want to write.

BTW, right now, she could use your prayers more than anything. Christy just got readmitted this morning around 3:00am, and things don't look good. Amanda spoke to Julie while we were at lunch and from the look on her face, I thought Christy had passed. Luckily that wasn't the case, but almost. See, Christy has never cried or screamed her whole life. She doesn't know pain like we do. Today, this morning, she screamed in pain / terror (not sure) and started shaking violently. That's not a good sign.

This cause is very personal to me, and I'm putting a lot of time into it. Ask Danielle how many affiliate leads / sales I have this week. I haven't had time to work on my own stuff.

The biggest reason why I'm asking people from WickedFire to help is I feel that I know you all, and have a better chance of convincing you that I'm not full of shit. Plus, there are a lot of members here that could sneeze more money than I'm asking people to give.

Please, help Julie, she's trying to save her house, her car, and most importantly - her daughter. She needs outside help, and I don't make enough (yet) to cut her a check for several thousand. If I could, I wouldn't bother spending this much time begging for other people's help.

If this is what it takes, YES! I'm running the blog for now, so I can add all the links you want. If you want to add an affiliate banner, then just make the donation more than $100. If you want a link on the sidebar, just donate more than $20.
